It’s the fifth Monday of July, so Stefin and Andrea are up with a short and sweet bonus episode. Stefin thanks listener Laurin for her recommendation of Nigella Lawson’s No-Churn Salted Caramel Ice Cream recipe, which she has now memorized, and Andrea shares that she can make a key ingredient, dulce de leche, in her Instant Pot!
Stefin also shares several other no-churn delights including a Honey, Date & Tahini Frozen Yogurt and a Chai Ice Cream from Good Housekeeping UK as well as a No-Churn Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream from Waitrose Food. Then it’s on to a review of The View from Great Island’s Lemon Crunch Bars, which Andrea loved “more than life itself!” Both hosts were enraptured by the zesty, creamy, sweet and tart filling, crunchy gingerbread crust, and the fact that the dessert not only was cool, but looked cool too! With such glowing reviews, is it any wonder both hosts awarded their Blue Ribbon to this sweet treat?
