Listener Jesse pitched Star Bread to us back in December 2019, and when Andrea saw how beautiful it was, she knew she had to add it to her #20for20 list. Fast forward eight months and she’s finally decided to do it! Listener Rachel and Susan have created some more sweet versions of star bread in the meantime (check them out in the Facebook Listeners group), but Andrea’s sticking to her savory favorites.
Salami and Herb Star Bread from King Arthur Flour has three fillings: cheese, salami, and pesto. While the recipe is not complicated, it does have many steps and requires a lot of resting time, so plan on making it throughout the course of a day, if possible. Andrea found the Star Bread Video from Sally’s Baking Addiction essential to getting the twisting portion of the recipe instructions right.
